Meet Stu Ovens
Co-Owner/Operator
Stewart is the inspiration behind Creekside Entertainment. Through the vision that he had in April 2008, the company has undergone countless renovations and improvements that provide you with what you see today.
He started the business after he and his sons decided it was time to put the racing hobby on the shelf. The business started when he started playing shows where he would sing any song requested by the crowd. Now the business has taken on the role that Karaoke/DJ Services offer.
Through the business, Stu met Marge, who has been a very welcome addition to the family. Marge has been a great help to us and supports the business any way she can. She has even been known to make a mean breakfast after a hard night of singing karaoke and playing music.
Stewart was quite a successful racer in his own day. He is a former Mr. DIRT Street Stock Champion, having won street stock championships at Dundee Raceway Park, Canandaigua Speedway and the Cayuga County Fairgrounds (Weedsport). He is a 1977 graduate of Penn Yan Academy, and resides in Newark, NY.
Meet Brad Ovens
DJ/Technical Manager
DJ Brovens is now officially on board as a DJ as of the Spring of 2012! Welcome aboard Brother Brad! He has DJ'ed in the past, but will now swing into our rotation for parties/bar nights, etc.
Brad has been quite a surprise for the company as he started out as the Technical Manager and now has taken a very active role as a DJ.
He also serves as our technical manager when Stu or Steven have found themselves in over their head with the equipment!
He is also a 2008 graduate of Penn Yan Academy where he was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society.
Brad proudly calls PYNY home.
He is a former go-kart track champion, many time Spring/Summer/Fall Series champion and twice runner-up at Black Rock Speedway to go with 10+ wins. He plans to continue a racing partnership with his brother...some day.
Meet Steven Ovens
Co-Owner/Web Designer/DJ
Steven joined the family business in early 2009 after father Stu had started up the business and found success as a local DJ. Steven's daily trade is Nursing and Emergency Medical Services, but found that if given the right amount of time and resources- Creekside Entertainment could be the leader in DJ/Karaoke services in the Finger Lakes.
Steven has focused on DJ'ing, advertising the business and helping Stu with bookings. He's proud of where they've taken their business and looks forward to more improvements as time goes on.
Steven is a 2004 graduate of Penn Yan Academy & a 2008 graduate of the Wegmans School of Nursing @ St. John Fisher College where he graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and minored in Philosophy. He is also a graduate of FLCC's Registered Nurse-to-Paramedic Program. He is a proud homeowner in Penn Yan where he proudly calls PYNY 'Home.'
He is a 3-time go-kart track champion, winning 2 of them in 1994 at 2 different tracks. He is also a track champion at Black Rock Speedway in the Black Rock Bandit division. Steven hopes that his management experience with Creekside Entertainment will transfer over to a successful racing partnership with Brad...some day.
Meet DJ "Big JB"
John Bacher
Creekside Entertainment wants to welcome aboard "JB" to our team of entertainers! JB was a faithful of our shows at the Elks Lodge and the Penn Yan American Legion. Now he has joined our team of DJ's and will help with our growing number of shows in the Penn Yan area.
JB is a regular at the Penn Yan VFW, Penn Yan Moose and fills in for us at the Pour House in Dundee. We are proud to have JB on our team, he has been instrumental in helping us bring our company to the next level.
We're very happy to have JB aboard the Creekside Entertainment Team. He is quickly coming into his own as a DJ Entertainer!
Meet DJ Kaleigh
Singer Extraordinaire
Kaleigh has joined our team of DJ's and has added to her already long list of talents as an individual. If you haven't had the opportunity to hear this kid's set of lungs, you are absolutely MISSING OUT!
Kaleigh is currently pursuing her College education at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY
Kaleigh, in 2011, placed in the Top 25 of all Singers/Dancers in all of New York State!
Kaleigh also took 2nd place at the 2011 Potatoe Fest Talent Competition
Meet DJ Dani
The NEWest member of the Creekside Team!
Creekside Entertainment is growing in popularity and booking shows rapidly. With that growth we are happy to bring on new members to the Creekside Team.
DJ Dani is another faithful Creekside Entertainment follower and has supported our shows and gigs for years. When the time came for Creekside to grow and add another DJ, DJ Dani was ready to show her stuff as a local DJ.
We are extremely excited to bring DJ Dani aboard! If you're looking for a fun, upbeat DJ- one that knows a wide variety of music including all of the new Top 40 and Brand New Country DJ Dani is the ticket!
